Sports Funding Grant
In 2016-2017 we will recieve £8,700.
In 2015/16 we received £8,695, £8,425 in 2014-15 and in 2013-2014 £8,635.
Purpose of the grant
This funding must be used to fund improvements to the provision of PE and sport, for the benefit of primary-aged pupils, in the academic year so that they develop healthy lifestyles.

Basis of allocation
• Schools with 17 or more eligible pupils receive £8,000 plus £5 per eligible pupil; and
• Schools with 16 or fewer eligible pupils receive £500 per eligible pupil.
Terms on which the PE and Sport Grant is allocated to schools
The grant must be spent by maintained schools and academies on improving the provision of PE and sport for the benefit of pupils so that they develop healthy lifestyles.
Maintained schools and academies must publish, on their website, information about their use of the PE and Sport Grant allocation. Schools will publish the amount of grant received; how it has been spent (or will be spent) and what impact the school has seen on pupils’ PE and sport participation and attainment as a result, to help to ensure that all pupils develop healthy lifestyles.
